How do I know I can trust the people you send to my home?
Two words. Bonded and insured. We would not send anyone to your home that we would not want in ours.
Will I have any liability or need to pay any taxes if I hire a housekeeper?
There is a sales tax on our service, of course, but we are fully insured against any and all mishaps or damage. If something gets broken, we will replace it, no questions asked.

How often should I have my home cleaned?
This depends on your needs, your tastes and your budget, of course. We recommend a weekly cleaning to keep your home completely dust and allergy free. We can come every two weeks, if that works better with your budget. Here’s a tip: it’s cheaper to do it more often. If we come in monthly, your home may require a deep cleaning, which can be more costly.
Do I have to sign a contract?
You don’t need a contract. We can come by and give you an estimate if you just want a one-time cleaning. If you’re interested in a maintenance cleaning, we ask you to provide a deposit to hold your day/time.
Do I have to be home when the cleaner comes?
No. Simply provide our cleaner access to your home, or a key. Remember we are fully liable and insured.
Will I always have the same house cleaner?
We like to think of this as a relationship. We know you like having the same person always returning to your home. We won’t inflict a substitute on you! Should your regular cleaner go on a vacation, you will have a cleaner that we will arrange to have you meet beforehand.
What if something is my home gets damaged?
Repaired, replaced or paid for, no questions asked.
Do you guarantee your work?
Yes. It’s simple. If you find a problem with our cleaning, give us a call. We’ll come back.
How do I pay for my cleaning?
You can pay cash, pay with a credit card on site or on the phone, or leave a check for the cleaner.
Do you offer gift certificates?
What a great idea! Sure! How delighted would your friends be with that? Contact us. We will make the arrangements.
What if I have a pet?
We love pets, we’re pet owners ourselves. Our cleaning products are non-toxic, and are safe to use in a home with pets.
Should I tip my cleaner?
Tipping is not required, nor suggested. We understand you would like to give your cleaner something for their work. Use your best judgement.
What if my cleaning schedule falls on a holiday?
We can reschedule and accommodate your schedules. We’re going to be closed the last two weeks of August, and we are back to the world on Labor Day, just like you. We’ll also be closed between Christmas and New Year’s Day.
Can I hire one of your cleaning professionals directly?
That is between the two of you. Bear in mind, however, that should you hire one of our cleaners directly, they would not be covered by our insurance, and you would not be protected.
What is involved?
The details are Here. But our cleaning essentially involves the removal of dirt and dust from every surface, and every nook and cranny that you come in contact every day and every thing you can see. Some things are extra, of course, like the inside of fireplaces. But we can talk about those.
We are not in the pest removal business. Should we observe a problem, we can, of course, recommend an eco-friendly specialist. Also, we’ve found that common pest problems can often be abated over the long term with our natural cleaning oils. But, again, if there is a serious pest problem, let us recommend a specialist.
How long does it take?
Here is the simple answer: We charge by the square foot and we clean until we’re done. We’ll give you a time estimate with your cleaning, of course. A normal maintenance cleaning for a two-bedroom apartment is about three hours, but the initial deep clean can take up to six hours, longer or shorter depending on the size of the space and the number of surfaces, furniture and belongings. It’s all about the results. We’re there until the space is clean.
Can "green" cleaning products be as good as the harsh chemicals commonly used? I don't want to harm the environment. I just want things to be spotless.
This is a common concern. First things first: We only use effective cleaning products, products that work. The ones we use just happen to be better for the environment.
We use chemicals to clean, because all cleaning products are chemicals. But our bleach, for example, is food-grade hydrogen peroxide, reduced from 32% strength, to 3%, the same strength used in wound care. It kills bacteria effectively, but unlike chlorine, it isn't poisoning you.
Chlorine, at typical household strength (5.25%) is toxic. It does harm to the cleaning person using it on a daily basis. It’s well known that chronic exposure to chlorine gas at that level may cause pulmonary problems like acute wheezing attacks, chronic cough with phlegm, and asthma.
Peroxide, oregano oil, sage oil, and “thieves” oils kill bacteria and clean more effectively than any of the most well-known commercial products.
In short, we use safer "green" products that clean as well or better than harsh chemicals.
